BBC Radio Sheffield

The target audience for the BBC local radio stations are those over 50 who do not get served as well by the rest of the radio stations from the BBC.

It covers South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, This includes; Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield etc.

We know it is a public service broadcaster because it has informative shows like; Steve Bailey who reviews newspapers and also reads the latest news. Rony Robinson hosts topical discussions and Howard Pressman gives the traffic, news and sport.

BBC Radio Sheffield conforms to the BBC brand as it has no advertisements, it plays host to a variety of shows that inform, educate and entertain. Their website has the same layout as all the other BBC websites and changes regularly when the BBC website does.

Audiences can reach the BBC Radio Sheffield shows by radio, DAB radio and the internet
